Slate-throated Redstart
At a Glance
Related to our Painted Redstart but not quite as showy, this warbler is very widespread in the American tropics. Throughout its extensive range it is a bird of forests in the foothills and mountains. The Slate-throated Redstart has wandered north from Mexico into the American Southwest only a few times, mostly in spring.
