Alessandra Vidal Meza

Dangermond Fellow

Alessandra is an environmental data scientist interested in using remote sensing and causal inference for biodiversity conservation. She received a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Policy & Decision Making with a minor in Global Development Studies from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Environmental Data Science from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara. Previously, Alessandra was also an AEA Summer Program Scholar at Howard University. She has primarily leveraged spatial and Earth observation data into econometric research on rapid glacial recession and land use change. Alessandra joins the 约炮视频 as a Dangermond Fellow and is eager to explore advanced geocomputation, geospatial modeling, and cartography to protect birds and the places they need.
